Getting to Campus

Syracuse University is easily accessible by car, plane, train, and public transportation.

Syracuse Welcome Shuttle Service

SW Airport VanSyracuse University is excited to offer free shuttle service from Hancock International Airport and the William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center (train and bus depot) to the University campus and local, off-campus addresses from August 1-27, 2017, 10am-10pm. This service is by reservation only. Please complete the Syracuse Welcome Shuttle Service Sign-Up Form 72 hours (3 days) prior to your arrival. For questions, please contact


Syracuse Hancock International Airport is about a 15-minute drive from campus. There are taxis available at the airport. 

Train and bus

The William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center (RTC) is served by Amtrak, Greyhound, Trailways, and Megabus. The RTC is about a 10-minute drive from campus. Centro buses (city bus) run from the RTC to campus on a regular basis. 


Campus is easily accessible by car and has many options for parking. During Syracuse Welcome traffic on many streets and parking in certain parking lots are restricted to accommodate move-in. If you are driving to campus, please follow the directions to campus listed in the Syracuse Welcome Guide.
